Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Private Search Quality (AU remote)

📋 Description

• Build, evaluate, and improve ML ranking models for private, team, and brand content search
• Drive relevance and recall improvements for enterprise users
• Work on intelligent result understanding, search recovery, and exact title match
• Contribute to indexing with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Vector search, and annotation
• Extend private and brand search quality into new surfaces like agent search
• Investigate and resolve quality or relevance regressions in production search

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and shipping ML systems in production (search, ranking, LTR or
• Ability to define and move metrics that matter (relevance, recall, ranking quality)
• End-to-end ownership from idea to shipped impact with minimal guidance
• Autonomous, comfortable with ambiguity as search surfaces evolve
• Strong collaboration with Backend/Infra teams and non-technical stakeholders
