Linux Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, tech
• Define engineering standards, platform build patterns, operational practices, reliability-focused
• Design and implement scalable Linux solutions across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
• Act as a technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
• Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions related to Linux
• Drive automation and IaC adoption with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7–10+ years in engineering and operating Linux platforms in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent across large-scale deployments.
• Proficient with Bash and Python; Perl is a plus.
• Automation/IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar.
• VMware vSphere or equivalent virtualization experience.
