Control Plane & Observability Software Engineer, Hyperscale Line of Business

📋 Description

• Design and develop robust, high-performance, and reliable Control Plane and Observability
• Build infrastructure to monitor key metrics such as I/O counters, latency, temperature
• Implement control interfaces (REST, CLI) for system management, drive management, power management
• Analyze logs to reduce boot drive logging and develop infrastructure to support log data recorders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues to enhance overall system reliability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices within the team.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in software development and systems engineering, using Golang, Python, C++
• Proficiency in building distributed systems and control plane functionalities.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus.
• Familiarity with metrics tracking tools like fb303, scribe, tdigest.
• Understanding of gRPC or other interprocess communication technologies.
