📋 Description
- Lead a product-counsel team for EmFi, issuing, lending
- Structure complex multi-jurisdictional deals and advise on regulation
- Draft and negotiate financial partnerships and platform terms
- Develop scalable legal playbooks and use-case repositories
- Partner with Regulatory Legal, Data & Privacy, Risk, FCC, and Commercial Legal
- Based in New York or San Francisco, US
🎯 Requirements
- JD or equivalent; active US bar in at least one jurisdiction
- 10+ years in payments, deal structuring, and financial regulation
- Deep knowledge of US payments regulation (money transmission, AML/BSA, Reg E, UDAAP, card networks
- Experience as embedded legal partner to product/engineering in fintech
- Strong drafting and negotiation with banks, PSPs, card networks
- Excellent cross-functional communication, including with C-suite
