📋 Description

• Senior Counsel for AbbVie's Global Alliances, supporting collaborations from discovery through
• Partner with Global Alliances, asset strategy teams, disease strategy teams, and R&D leadership
• Advise on alliance matters across the pharmaceutical and device life cycle; draft, review, and
• Support due diligence and integration planning to ensure strategic fit and executional readiness.
• Provide clear legal guidance to business leadership; serve as a go-to resource on complex areas of
• On-site presence required: at least 3 days/week in Irvine, CA or North Chicago, IL or South San

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. degree required and must meet state licensing requirements.
• 5+ years of experience in life sciences/pharma transactions and global collaborations, with
• Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating licenses, collaboration agreements, co-development and
• Strong ability to interpret complex strategic agreements and advise senior management on R&D
• Scientific background preferred; understanding of biology/chemistry concepts helpful.
• Proven autonomous, proactive, results-driven legal professional with excellent analysis and
