Kettle Crane Operator

📋 Description

• Operate overhead bridge crane (Demag 5/10 ton) to lift/move heavy steel products safely
• Observe load hookup and assess load safety
• Monitor steel in process tanks and zinc baths
• Inspect hooks/chains; check crane setup thickness with gauges
• Control crane speed/direction using pedals, levers, dials, switches
• Perform paddling to improve galvanized finish

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience operating overhead cranes; galvanizing facility preferred
• Excellent safety record and strong work ethic
• Ability to train others in Kettle Crane Operator I/II
• Regular, reliable attendance required
