Assistant General Counsel - Privacy

📋 Description

• Build Abridge’s privacy program, providing practical, product-focused counseling to the Security
• Advise teams on privacy laws related to AI, ML, clinical data, product development, secondary use
• Help develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs.
• Support data sharing and ecosystem questions, governance, and contractual expectations with
• Monitor and respond to changes in privacy laws and AI regulations.
• Draft, maintain, and operationalize privacy policies, playbooks, templates, governance standards

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in in-house, health tech, or tech-focused law roles.
• Experience building and evaluating programs ensuring product compliance with laws and commitments.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, biometric privacy laws, and state privacy frameworks.
• Practical, risk-based approach balancing legal, regulatory, business, and customer considerations.
• Strong business judgment and independent work style.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for technical and nontechnical audiences.
