📋 Description

• Sofar Ocean builds sensors/software for ocean forecasting; autonomous HR infrastructure role.
• Own, build, run, and improve HR systems and processes with minimal oversight.
• Protect culture and employee wellbeing through effective People operations.
• Work in a highly autonomous environment with focus on detail and urgency.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years HR experience; 3+ years in People Operations, startup-friendly.
• Based in SF Bay Area; onsite Pier 28 four days/week.
• Advanced admin of HR platforms (Rippling, Ashby, Slack); strong Excel/Google Sheets.
• California employment law knowledge; wage-and-hour, leave administration.
• Bachelor’s in HR/Business; SHRM-SCP/SPHR is a plus.
• Ownership mindset, attention to detail, urgency, people-focused.
