Legal Counsel (12-Month Contract)

📋 Description

• Lead counsel for Marketing, Medical Affairs, Trade and Market access on legal/regulatory issues
• Provide strategic commercial legal advice to AbbVie Canada and enterprise projects
• Draft, review and negotiate complex trade, master service, pharmacy, and other agreements
• Advise executive management on Canadian laws and regulatory matters
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate global/novel legal projects
• Coach and mentor junior attorneys and drive compliance with AbbVie’s Code of Conduct

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree from a recognized university
• Licensed to practice law in Canada (preferably Quebec)
• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in regulated industries
• Strong understanding of competition, corporate, privacy, IP, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of market access and Canadian legal landscape
• Advanced French and English proficiency (bilingual communication with stakeholders)
