Custodian

📋 Description

• Open and secure facilities; verify HVAC and lighting systems are operational
• Perform general cleaning: sweeping, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash removal
• Pick up litter on school grounds and athletic fields
• Complete daily laundry tasks (mop heads, towels, etc.)
• Respond to emergency cleanup situations
• Move and rearrange furniture; assist with meal setup as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Basic reading and writing skills
• 0-2 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience; school setting preferred
• Strong work ethic; detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities
• Physically able to lift and carry 20-50 lbs
• Good manual dexterity; strong verbal communication; customer-service mindset
• Willingness to learn building systems and new techniques; basic computer skills preferred
