Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, including
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams to
• Advise on product terms and AI-related provisions: data use, training, ownership, acceptable use
• Monitor AI, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions; translate into
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US developments, Canadian AI laws, GDPR, and
• Partner with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, vendor diligence for AI/LLM

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with tech product experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven product counsel experience in HR tech/payroll/PEO/EOR/HRIS.
• Deep AI/ML regulatory knowledge: EU AI Act, UK/US/Canada developments.
• Significant payroll compliance experience across jurisdictions.
• In-house/tech company experience and startup environment advantageous; strong analytical
• Excellent English communication; comfortable with modern collaboration tools; remote work
