Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data/metadata use, IP ownership, and transparency.
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions.
• Support GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate on DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, and vendor diligence for AI/LLM.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experience advising technology products across jurisdictions.
• Product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EOR, HRIS, or related platforms.
• Proven ability to advise on complex products at scale and across jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, UK, US, Canada).
• Understanding of AI, data protection, employment law, and payroll compliance.
• In-house experience preferred in tech/fast-growth envt.
