📋 Description
- Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
- Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data use, IP ownership, and transparency requirements.
- Monitor AI, technology, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions.
- Support frameworks such as EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US developments, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Deliver practical guidance to product/design/engineering teams.
🎯 Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with experience advising technology products across jurisdictions.
- Proven product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EO, HRIS or related platforms.
- Ability to advise on complex products at scale across jurisdictions.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
- Understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment, and payroll compliance.
- In-house experience in tech or fast-growing environments; startup experience a plus.
