📋 Description
- Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
- Advise on product terms and AI-specific provisions (data use, IP ownership, transparency).
- Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regulations across jurisdictions.
- Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI approaches, US developments, GDPR, CCPA.
- Collaborate with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, vendor diligence for AI/LLM.
🎯 Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with substantial tech product advisory experience across jurisdictions.
- Proven product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EOR, HRIS platforms.
- Ability to advise on complex products at scale across multiple jurisdictions.
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
- Understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment law, payroll compliance.
- Significant payroll compliance experience preferred; in-house / tech company background valued.
