Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products, including
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams to
• Advise on product terms and AI-specific provisions: data/metadata use, training, output/IP
• Monitor evolving AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US federal/state developments, Canadian AI
• Collaborate with Privacy and Security on DPIAs, TIAs, incident response, vendor diligence for

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantial experience advising on technology products, preferably across
• Proven product counsel experience in technology, with strong HR tech/payroll/PEO/EOR/HRIS expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to advise on complex products at scale across jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Strong understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment law, and payroll compliance.
• Significant payroll compliance experience across multiple jurisdictions; in-house experience
