Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data ownership, and transparency requirements.
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions.
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US developments, GDPR, and CCPA.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with tech product advisory experience across jurisdictions.
• Proven product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO, EOR, HRIS platforms.
• Experience advising on complex products at scale; strong multi-jurisdictional background.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Understanding AI regulation, data protection, employment, payroll compliance.
• Payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions; in-house experience preferred.
