Loan Counselor/Late Stage Collections

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of mobile home mortgage loans across all stages of delinquency
• Outbound and inbound borrower contact to resolve delinquent accounts
• Analyze borrower financials and counsel on options
• Negotiate repayment plans and strive for full reinstatement
• Evaluate loss mitigation options: forbearance, repayment plans, loan mods
• Initiate and track loss mitigation workflows per investor guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
• 1–3 years mortgage collections/servicing; mobile homes preferred
• Knowledge of GSE, FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs
• Strong negotiation, communication, customer service skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism
• Proficient with mortgage servicing systems and Microsoft Office
