Associate Corporate Counsel - Legal Product, IP, and Marketing

📋 Description

• Role supports Elastic’s product, IP, and marketing teams from ideation to launch.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, privacy, and commercial teams on legal design for enterprise
• Handle patent prosecution, IP portfolio oversight, and open-source licensing programs.
• Assist with trade compliance, export controls, and data rights in commercial agreements.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5+ years in patent prosecution and/or IP or product law; SaaS/enterprise data exposure preferred.
• Bachelor’s/advanced degree in science/engineering; background in software a plus.
• US/Canadian Patent Bar admission; JD or LLB preferred; patent agents eligible.
• Experience drafting/reviewing patent applications and translating tech concepts to claims.
• Interest in Generative AI and legal frameworks for code/data.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
