📋 Description
- In-house Senior Counsel for AbbVie's Patent Prosecution group
- Support Aesthetic, Eye Care and other therapeutic areas
- Hybrid work model on-site 3+ days/week in North Chicago, IL; also Waltham, MA; Irvine, CA; South
- Develop and implement IP strategies for products and candidates
- Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide; manage outside counsel
- Challenge and defend patents in post-grant proceedings; conduct prior art searches
🎯 Requirements
- JD degree; bar admission; USPTO registration
- 5+ years patent law experience in a law firm or life sciences company
- Technical background relevant to medical devices, aesthetic products, pharma; degrees in
- Strong legal, analytical, communication, collaboration, and people skills
- Ability to manage complex projects to meet deadlines
