Merchant KYB Analyst

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end KYB reviews for prospective merchants.
• Verify onboarding docs, ownership, and corporate records.
• Identify UBOs and perform sanctions/EU/UN watchlist checks.
• Conduct open-source and adverse media investigations.
• Assess merchant risk across payment flows and activities.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Underwriting, Risk, Ops, and Legal to make onboarding decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in KYB/KYC/AML, merchant onboarding, or related field.
• Experience in fintech/payments, PSPs, acquiring, or regulated finance.
• Strong ability to verify business docs, scrutinize filings, and spot inconsistencies.
• Excellent investigative and research skills with public records and third-party data.
• Knowledge of merchant risk, fraud typologies, and sanctions screening.
• Experience with high-risk merchant categories is a plus.
