Product Counsel

📋 Description

• MoonPay seeks a Product Counsel to partner with product, compliance, and regulatory strategy.
• Cover DeFi products (DEX routing, aggregation, non-custodial wallet infra) and regulated crypto
• Advise on features from ideation to launch, balancing regulated and decentralized tech safely.
• Provide product lifecycle legal support to engineering and product teams.
• Navigate licensing footprints, and ensure compliant fast-moving product development.
• Collaborate across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Regulatory Affairs, and Engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• JD (or equivalent) and active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
• 6+ years legal experience, in-house at a crypto/DeFi/fintech or regulated financial services
• Deep understanding of DeFi, DEX/AMMs, smart order routing, non-custodial wallets, MPC, and smart
• Strong grounding in US regulatory frameworks: FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, NYDFS.
• Experience providing product lifecycle legal advice to engineering/product teams.
• Excellent communication and risk-based, pragmatic legal thinking.
