📋 Description

• Support Canva's product and engineering teams on online safety, content moderation, and privacy for
• Advise on regulatory and governance matters, including interaction with government inquiries and
• Develop and operationalize safety policies, playbooks, and internal guidance for scalable legal
• Collaborate with policy, IP, security, product, and engineering teams across time zones.
• Manage incidents, investigations, and communications related to safety, privacy, or data security.
• Stay current on global AI, safety, and privacy regulations and conduct impact assessments.

🎯 Requirements

• Legally qualified
• 8+ years practicing law with in-house experience
• Familiarity with online safety, privacy, platform, and consumer laws for digital products and AI
• Deep understanding of modern AI technology and products
• Comfort collaborating with teams across time zones
• Collaborative, pragmatic, business-minded attorney who simplifies compliance
