📋 Description Develop and implement IP strategies for AbbVie's products and candidates, focusing on neuroscience Advise cross-functional R&D and business teams on IP matters Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide (directly or via outside counsel) Challenge and defend patents in IPR, opposition, and post-grant proceedings Conduct prior art searches and due diligence to support business development 🎯 Requirements JD from an accredited law school, bar admission for in-house practice, and USPTO registration 8+ years patent law experience at a law firm or life sciences company, including U.S. and foreign Experience with India, China, and emerging markets a plus Technical background relevant to pharmaceutical patent prosecution (small molecule/biologic Strong legal, analytical, communication, collaboration, and people skills; ability to manage 🎁 Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical/dental/vision, and 401(k) Eligibility to participate in long-term incentive programs
