Underwriting Specialist

📋 Description

• Underwrite loan applications and ensure compliance with policies, investor guidelines, and
• Apply underwriting guidelines for diverse products including Self-Employed, Trusts, LLCs, POA, and
• Analyze financial data (tax returns, income statements, business docs) to inform lending decisions.
• Collaborate with Senior Operations Manager and underwriting team to refine guidelines for new
• Monitor underwriting accuracy, efficiency, and compliance metrics.
• Provide feedback with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth loan processing.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of underwriting experience (conventional, portfolio, special programs).
• Expertise in Self-Employed, Trusts, LLCs, POA, and DSCR.
• Familiarity with DU/LP and proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of CFPB, FHA, VA, and related regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make independent underwriting decisions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
