Job Description
📋 Description Assists mechanics with diesel truck and trailer service, maintenance, and repairs. Performs DOT inspections and brings deficiencies into compliance. Conducts fluids and filter checks/replacements per specs. Performs electrical inspections and routine repairs (fuses, bulbs, batteries). Troubleshoots engine, electrical, drive train, tires, steering, suspension systems. Completes paperwork, logs parts in shop software, and supports shop supervisors. 🎯 Requirements Requires valid current Iowa driver's license. Ability to drive all types of trucks, including manual transmissions. 2+ years diesel truck repair experience; 3-5 years preferred. Able to lift up to 100 lbs and operate hand tools. Must pass pre-employment drug test; random drug/alcohol testing may occur. Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals; use diagnostic tools.
