📋 Description Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to improve search speed and relevance. Build new search features and fix bugs; design algorithms as needed. Collaborate with a globally distributed team via email, GitHub, Zoom, Slack. Drive improvements in search relevance and overall search experience. Own end-to-end project design and execution with engineers. Write idiomatic modern Java; Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java. 🎯 Requirements Experience with search and vector databases; used HNSW, IVF, or similar. Strong Java expertise; core Java, data structures, and concurrency. Autonomous; own projects from design to delivery; collaborate cross-functionally. Familiar with storage tech: Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra. Proven record of using AI to accelerate development and debugging.
