Job Description
📋 Description Own combustor hardware design, production, and flight performance. Drive design changes for reliability, simplification, and performance. Develop combustor design from concept through testing and production. Coordinate a team of peers and collaborate with engineers to meet requirements. Develop test requirements and participate in early test operations; own anomaly reviews. Analyze test and flight data; iterate designs and make go/no-go calls. 🎯 Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or astronautical engineering. 4+ years of experience with rocket or jet engine hardware or high-pressure fluid systems. Master’s degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace, or aeronautical/astronautical engineering. 6+ years with jet or rocket engines or high-pressure fluid systems. Proficiency in flow, combustion, acoustics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. Experience designing and testing combustor injector elements and manifolds. Experience owning test campaigns, data analysis, and technical decisions.
