Fire Protection Technician

📋 Description

• Support design, analysis, calculations and specs for fire and life safety systems
• Verify building adherence to current fire codes and system integrity
• Develop AM&M to meet code intent with AHJ for performance-based design
• Manage commissioning from planning to post-commissioning adjustments
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to address deficiencies
• Coordinate with facilities teams, contractors and authorities on installations and certifications

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in design/construction of fire protection systems or consulting
• Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA standards
• Degree in fire protection engineering
• Professional Engineer license (P.E.) or able to obtain
• NICET certification in relevant fire protection programs
