Senior Software Developer - Vector Search - Elasticsearch

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering
• Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixes, including novel
• Work with a globally distributed team of engineers focused on vector search capabilities and search
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to design, review, and implement components for vector
• Be an expert on Elasticsearch search relevance; drive improvements based on data and instincts.
• Work with a distributed team and support asynchronous collaboration across time zones.

🎯 Requirements

• You have implemented novel techniques in vector similarity on a large-scale search platform or
• Professional experience with search or vector databases; familiarity with HNSW, IVF, or related
• You possess solid core Java skills, with strong knowledge of the Java standard library, data
• You work autonomously, guiding projects end-to-end, including technical design and cross-team
• You have experience designing, leading, and owning cross-functional initiatives.
• You have experience with data storage technologies and familiarity with Elasticsearch, Solr
