📋 Description

• Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading search engine offering with
• Contribute to the technical direction and vision for our search capabilities, including design and
• Work with a globally distributed team to develop, review, and ship scalable software across
• Build, optimize, and implement algorithms close to the OS and hardware when needed.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to deliver high-impact search features.
• Drive architectural decisions and improvements through consensus and incremental changes.

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience with search or vector databases; used HNSW, IVF, or similar algorithms on
• Strong Java skills; solid knowledge of core data structures, concurrency, and the standard library
• Experience with Elasticsearch search relevance; identify and drive improvements in search quality.
• Experience with data storage technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) and
• Ability to work autonomously and take on projects end-to-end (technical design, implementation, and
• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously and across distributed teams; strong code review and API
