Security Engineer, Detection & Response

📋 Description

• Maintain, improve, and own detection engineering systems.
• Perform investigations, and contribute to security incident response.
• Contribute to, maintain, and operate identity and access management systems.
• Grow across many security domains in a cross-functional team.
• Research, identify, and respond to emerging threats relevant to Sentry.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience in a detection and response, corporate security, or generalist
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent training, or professional experience
• Hands-on experience with alert triage, detection tuning, detection-as-code, security log ingestion
• Proficient in at least one language (Python preferred) and agentic development workflows
• Familiarity with distributed cloud tech (AWS, CI/CD, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and
• Collaborative problem solving with strong communication
