📋 Description
- Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, debt
- Define and maintain engineering standards, platform build patterns, and reliability-focused
- Design and implement scalable Linux solutions across on‑premises and cloud.
- Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
- Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions for Linux platforms.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10+ years engineering and operating Linux in enterprise environments (8–10 years preferred).
- Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent across large-scale deployments.
- Proficiency with Bash and Python; Perl a plus.
- Experience building automation and IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar.
- Strong virtualization experience (VMware vSphere or equivalent).
