Linux Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, debt
• Define and maintain engineering standards, platform build patterns, and reliability-focused
• Design and implement scalable Linux solutions across on‑premises and cloud.
• Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
• Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions for Linux platforms.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years engineering and operating Linux in enterprise environments (8–10 years preferred).
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent across large-scale deployments.
• Proficiency with Bash and Python; Perl a plus.
• Experience building automation and IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar.
• Strong virtualization experience (VMware vSphere or equivalent).
