Linux Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Own enterprise Linux platform roadmap, lifecycle, patching, standardization, and modernization.
• Define engineering standards, platform build patterns, and reliability practices.
• Design scalable Linux solutions across on-prem and cloud infra.
• Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage, and core Linux services.
• Lead architecture discussions and key engineering decisions for Linux platforms.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years Linux engineering/operations in enterprises (8–10 yrs preferred).
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL, or equivalent.
• Bash and Python scripting; Perl is a plus.
• Automation/IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.
• Virtualization experience with VMware vSphere or similar.
