Payroll Manager

📋 Description

• Own and shape payroll strategy and execution in a model that may be outsourced or in-house
• Lead transition decisions for payroll delivery and automation
• Develop a highly automated payroll operation with strong controls
• Own payroll accounting, journals, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Drive payroll automation for recurring work
• Manage payroll taxes and compliance, including employer contributions and PAYE

🎯 Requirements

• Deep Swedish payroll expertise (Skatteverket reporting, employer contributions, tax/SINK, pensions)
• 8+ years of senior payroll experience
• Proven track record owning payroll end-to-end
• Strong ability to work independently; comfortable with ambiguity and greenfield remit
• Excellent English communication; Swedish is a plus
• Based in Stockholm or willing to relocate
