Head of Data Center Design

📋 Description

• Own the overall technical design, architecture, and engineering vision for large-scale data center
• Define and maintain Basis of Design for modular PODs, cooling, power, fire protection, networking.
• Establish design standards for IT deployment, rack layouts, containerization, CDU placement.
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews; approve drawings across electrical, mechanical, structural
• Set design-stage targets for PUE, capacity, availability, redundancy, reliability.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and partners on specs and integration.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data center design or critical infrastructure; direct data center experience valued.
• Proven ownership/contribution to Basis of Design documentation for large facilities.
• At least 3 years in a design/technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution/topology and cooling; understand fire suppression and loads.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews across trades.
• Ability to translate requirements into clear standards and execution plans.
