Director, Site Reliability Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead India-based SRE org for Okta platform, databases, edge networking, K8s, CI/CD, observability
• Partner with global engineering, product, and infrastructure leaders to deliver resilient
• Define India SRE strategy aligned with global reliability goals.
• Own post-incident reviews, RCAs, on-call rotations and blameless postmortems.
• Drive automation and observability to reduce toil; promote IaC (Terraform), Kubernetes, and modern
• Hire, mentor, and develop SRE talent; foster reliability-focused culture.

🎯 Requirements

• 16+ years in site reliability, infrastructure, or production engineering.
• 8+ years in technical leadership & people management (managing managers).
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration in global matrix environments.
• Experience building/scaling offshore SRE teams with global partners.
• 4+ years running SRE for SaaS/Cloud in public cloud (AWS preferred); multi-cloud a plus.
• Strong cloud-native architecture expertise; Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
