Senior Engineer - Agents

📋 Description

• Own the Buildkite Agent repository, the open-source agent run on machines and clouds globally.
• Ship features end-to-end from idea to rollout and post‑launch behavior in production.
• Design for partial and constant failures with reversible migrations and solid observability.
• Collaborate with a sharp, opinionated team ready to tackle hard problems together.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Go or Ruby (Go as primary language; Ruby on Rails is backbone).
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Terraform for IaC; PostgreSQL knowledge for databases under load.
• Frontend/API experience with React and GraphQL is a bonus.
• Develop tooling or CI/CD experience; ability to document and post-mortem problems.
• Strong communication, ownership, and end-to-end product thinking.
