Senior Scientist, Oligonucleotide Chemist

📋 Description

• Develop and/or improve synthesis, deprotection, purification, modification, and analysis methods
• Lead oligonucleotide NPD and custom/co-creation projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IH and Operations deliverables
• Act as technical oligonucleotide chemistry lead for new technologies
• Design, plan, and execute development projects independently
• Develop synthesis, modification, and purification methods for oligos

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in chemistry or related field + at least 10 years in modified oligonucleotide
• Extensive oligonucleotide chemistry knowledge and lab practice
• Experience with synthesis, deprotection, purification, conjugation, and analysis
• Proficiency with automated synthesizers (MerMade, Dr Oligo, Shasta, K&A, OligoMaker, AKTA)
• Understanding of synthesis cycles, impurities, deprotection schemes, and purification chemistries
• Analytical skills with HPLC and mass spectrometry
