Java Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications as part of the CORE Mod. team
• Build solutions using Spring Boot and modernise HMRC legacy services
• Collaborate with Java Engineers, Front End Developers, and QEs within Scrum teams
• Write/maintain unit tests with JUnit and ensure high-quality delivery
• Apply software engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment
• Contribute with JPA, Maven, Mockito, AWS, GitLab, Helm, OpenAPI, SQL, and Shell where applicable

🎯 Requirements

• Proven Java Engineer or similar software role
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and JUnit experience
• Experience in Scrum/Agile teams
• Collaborate with Front End and QA teams
• Experience with JPA, Kibana, Maven, Mockito, AWS, GitLab, Helm, OpenAPI, SQL or Shell scripting
• Solid understanding of modern software dev, testing, and engineering practices
