📋 Description

• Own key architectural decisions for Canva’s hybrid mobile platform across React Native, iOS and
• Lead the migration to a cross-platform architecture, balancing live product stability with platform
• Ship a React Native surface in production with performance, reliability, and observability
• Mentor Staff and Senior engineers, guiding technical direction across Mobile Platform.
• Scale adoption across Canva by collaborating with major product teams and establishing trusted
• Influence architecture beyond your team to set standards across large engineering groups.

🎯 Requirements

• Cross-platform architecture experience at scale (React Native, React; Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform
• Experience migrating a mature mobile product onto a new architecture while live and growing.
• Principal-level technical leadership with ability to align multiple teams around a direction.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, data structures, and system-level trade-offs.
• Deep knowledge of mobile runtime, iOS and Android, and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience with shared-code runtimes, native boundaries, bundle delivery and performance profiling.
