Job Description
📋 Description
- Plan and execute applied engineering research on structural connections and mass timber.
- Develop and improve connection products from concept to testing and validation.
- Perform structural calculations, modelling, literature reviews, and code-based assessments.
- Develop test plans, coordinate specimens, and analyze results.
- Participate in hands-on testing, installation, and failure-mode observation.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and document technical conclusions.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's in Civil/Structural/Timber Eng or related field.
- 2–6 years in structural engineering, applied research, or product development (exceptional
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or EIT with near-term P.Eng path.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics and material behaviour.
- Experience with timber engineering, mass timber, connections, fasteners; testing is a plus.
- Experience with testing, lab research, and structural testing is an asset.
