Business Information Security Officer

📋 Description

• Oversee information security and data privacy initiatives aligned to global business strategy.
• Lead in a federated model with the parent company’s IS program and risk team.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and practices; manage security posture and audits.
• Coordinate security controls, incident response, and regulatory/compliance programs.
• Collaborate with executives, legal, customers, and vendors on security matters.
• Stay informed on security trends, technologies, and risk to advise leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in cybersecurity, information services, or business administration (Master’s
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CySA+, ITIL v3 preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years managing an IS/security team; 7-10 years in IS industry or operations.
• Experience with SOC2 Type II, ISO27001, CMMC, NIST; knowledge of data privacy regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to set priorities, analyze complex issues, and work cross-functionally.
