Director, Technical Revenue Accounting

📋 Description

• Oversee global revenue recognition and sales contract processes per ASC 606.
• Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and related controls.
• Serve as SME for technical revenue recognition; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Document revenue positions with memo work supporting disclosures.
• Train cross-functional teams on revenue recognition concepts.
• Partner with Order Management, collections, payments risk, and accounting teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Willing to travel to Pinterest offices up to 2x/month for collaboration.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 and related GAAP/SEC guidance.
• Strong verbal and written communication; distill complex concepts for leadership.
• Proven collaboration with Sales, Product, Engineering, IT, Finance, Customer Support.
• Experience applying AI to accelerate technical research or operations.
• 10+ years in revenue recognition/technical accounting; CPA preferred.
