Manager I, Technical Accounting

📋 Description

• Review contracts and analyze transactions to determine appropriate US GAAP treatment
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare memoranda, policies and guidance
• Serve as resource to internal teams, translating accounting requirements into practical guidance
• Partner with Accounting Operations, Finance, Legal, Real Estate and others on transactions
• Monitor new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements; support policy implementation
• Leverage AI to accelerate research and build scalable resources while ensuring accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; active CPA
• Minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or publicly traded company)
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; experience with ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 450
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and policies
• Understanding of SEC reporting requirements, internal controls and SOX 404
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences
