Software Development Engineer II, Security Platform

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate critical services, pipelines, and tooling for Twitch Security Platform.
• Own projects end-to-end from design to production support.
• Collaborate with Security, Identity, Privacy, and Infra teams on Twitch-wide initiatives.
• Improve observability, reliability, and operational readiness for critical systems.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Engage in retrospectives and technical discussions, guiding decisions with data.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and operating production backend services with end-to-end ownership.
• Deep fluency in a modern language (Go, Java, Python, or similar).
• Hands-on AWS experience with production services or pipelines, IaC, and safe rollout.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and drive clarity.
• Track record leading technical projects across multiple services/streams.
