Db2 System Programmer

📋 Description

• Support Db2 for z/OS activities across 50+ subsystems on multiple mainframes
• Hybrid work setup: 3 days onsite per week, on-site presence required
• Ensure performance, integrity, maintenance, and security of UK database estate
• Install/test new Db2 versions; provide maintenance for Db2 and tooling
• Plan databases, capacity, and monitor performance; manage security and DR
• Coordinate with technical/operational teams to maintain integrity

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience as a z/OS Systems Specialist with Db2 expertise
• Hands-on Db2 production support, maintenance, tuning, and app support
• Familiarity with main data manipulation languages and DB design
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Flexibility, business awareness, and IT requirements understanding
