Diesel Technician

📋 Description

• Assists with complex mechanical truck and trailer service and repairs
• Inspects vehicles per DOT standards and ensures deficiencies are corrected
• Performs routine/complex fluid checks and replacements
• Conducts electrical inspections; replaces fuses, bulbs, batteries; performs electrical repairs
• Troubleshoots engine, electrical, wheel, tire, and related systems
• Notifies Supervisor of issues; assists in training and shop operations

🎯 Requirements

• Valid Iowa driver’s license; ability to drive manual transmissions
• 3-5 years diesel repair experience preferred; minimum 2 years required
• Professional appearance; respectful; ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to write work orders; pass pre-employment drug test
• Willingness for random drug/alcohol testing; mechanical/problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
