Master NDE Inspector - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

📋 Description

• Perform internal and external inspections to verify weldments meet codes, standards, and project
• Read, interpret, and apply codes, specs, and engineering drawings accurately.
• Record inspection data, document acceptance/rejection, and communicate findings to teams.
• Develop welding procedures for specific code requirements.
• Oversee welding process testing and ensure product conformance to drawings.
• Verify weld surface quality and maintain proper documentation of inspections.

🎯 Requirements

• ASNT TC-1A and/or NAS-410 certification in PT and MT, with level II or higher preferred.
• 3+ years in weld quality or NDE audits; strong knowledge of AWS and ASME.
• Experience with surface and subsurface NDE methods (RT, UT, ET) and related standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assess joint design, fit-up, and prep.
• Proficiency in recording inspection results and generating reports for production/engineering.
• Background check for on-site work at government partner location may be required.
