Senior Software Engineer, Asynchronous Processing

📋 Description

• Architect, build, and operate Klaviyo’s large-scale, event-driven backbone.
• Develop platform primitives on Golang, Python, and related tech to power async workloads.
• Design multi-tenant queueing and processing systems with high reliability and low latency.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver self-service APIs and tooling for product teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations to minimize incidents and outages.

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on software development for high-scale SaaS products.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and containerized environments.
• Hands-on with asynchronous processing and queueing systems (SQS, Kafka, Pulsar).
• Strong communication, design docs, RFCs, and mentoring skills.
• Interest in AI tools and responsible experimentation.
