📋 Description
- Develop high-fidelity virtual platforms to abstract hardware for SSD firmware development
- Build and maintain firmware simulation environments (e.g., QEMU) to enable shift-left testing
- Create accurate hardware models for controller logic, PCIe/NVMe interfaces, and NAND behavior
- Instrument and profile performance, analyze failures within simulated environments
- Automate CI/CD to integrate simulations into firmware release and validation
- Collaborate with ASIC vendors to validate firmware against RTL before silicon
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years building and scaling high-fidelity simulation software for embedded/hardware systems
- Expert-level C/C++ and Python for firmware/modeling
- Experience with simulation tools (QEMU, SystemC, TLM, ISA simulators)
- Deep firmware-hardware interaction understanding; translate schematics to abstract models
- Strong knowledge of PCIe and NVMe storage protocols
- Experience with embedded software, SoC bring-up, and RTOS
